Earthquake in Uttarakhand: Earthquake tremors have been felt once again in the hill state of Uttarakhand. The National Center for Seismology said that an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 hit Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand on Thursday morning. The epicenter of the earthquake was 32 km north of Pithoragarh. Its effect was seen in an area of about five kilometers.
The earthquake occurred at 5.01 am at a depth of 10 km. It was told by tweeting from the official account of NCS that an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 occurred on May 11 at 05:01:04 IST. There was an earthquake in Pithoragarh earlier also
According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), earlier in January, an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred 23 km north-west of Pithoragarh. The earthquake hit the state at a depth of 10 km, at a latitude of 29.78 and a longitude of 80.13 at around 8:58 am.
