Golden Temple Blast: Another bomb blast took place on the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday near the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. After the loud explosion, there is an atmosphere of panic among the people of the area. This was the third blast near the Golden Temple within five days. In this whole matter, the DGP of Punjab Police will hold a press conference in the afternoon.
According to information received from media reports, the blast took place at around 12.30 pm. Some suspects have been detained by the Punjab Police following the explosion of a crude bomb. On hearing the sound of the blast, the Punjab Police and their forensic team reached the spot. It is said that two men and a woman were living in a nearby room at the time of the blast. All three are being questioned. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the blast and the Punjab Police is probing the incident. It is being told that potassium chlorate was used in the firecrackers to explode on Thursday.

Punjab Police DGP Punjab Police Gaurav Yadav said that five conspirators who hatched the conspiracy of Amritsar blast have been arrested. The motive behind the blast was to disturb the peace. Explosives used in firecrackers were used in the blast. Police will hold a press conference soon.

Giving information, Amritsar Police Commissioner Naunihal Singh said that around 12:15 in the night, we got information that a huge sound like a bang was heard, maybe there was a blast again. We are not yet confirming whether it was a blast, it is being investigated. People are being verified. The Punjab Police also said that it would address the media on the incident at 11 am today.
Third explosion in five days
This is the third blast near Amritsar Golden Temple within five days. Earlier on Monday, there was an explosion in front of Heritage Street near the Golden Temple. The IED blast was suspected regarding the blast. Before that there was a blast at another place just one kilometer away from the Golden Temple. The explosion was so strong that the windows of some buildings were damaged.
