Ambala: Farmers have once again caused a stir over helpless animals. Farmers of Bharatiya Kisan Union Shaheed Bhagat Singh reached Ambala city’s grain market on Tuesday and loaded their animals onto tractor-trolleys. The administrative officials who came into action due to the farmers’ protest came for talks. However, there was no consensus between officials and farmers on the course of action. Due to this, the farmers reached the residence of MLA Aseem Goyal with carts full of animals. Due to the sudden protest by farmers, the police had to take strict security precautions here. The farmers stayed here with their animals for a long time.

In the past, farmers decorated wagons loaded with animals with balloons. Here, SDM Darshan Singh and other police officials tried to convince the farmers, but the farmers remained adamant in their demand. The farmers stuck to their demand for a permanent solution for the animals, left them in the cowshed and gave the farmers the same amount of money for the animals they caught as in the city government’s tender. BKU national president Shaheed Bhagat Singh Amarjeet Singh Mohadi said the government was repeatedly asked to remove animals from roads and fields. These animals kill people on the streets and also destroy farmers’ crops. Despite this, the administration pays no attention to their problem. He said that this was the second time that farmers had to bring the animals to the administration by catching them from the road. Just ten months ago, farmers brought animals into the Washington, D.C. office.

The administration then became active. Then he called hurriedly and sent the animals into the cowsheds. Now that the farmers have brought the animals back, the administration has called a meeting of officials. Mohadi said they are now in a mood to protest vigorously for a permanent solution for these helpless animals. They will not relent until officials resolve the animal problem. He said that animals destroy their crops and breeds. But the administration doesn’t care at all.

Heavy traffic jam on the main road

Police and administration officials were left breathless as they saw farmers arriving at MLA Aseem Goyal’s residence with dozens of tractor-trolleys. Security at the MLA residence needed to be strengthened urgently. At this time there were also numerous farmers on the main street. Due to this, there was a traffic jam on Old Delhi Road. Due to the trolleys loaded with animals in the middle of the street, no pedestrian could pass through the main street. People had to take alternative routes. The farmers clearly stated that if they did not take the responsibility of sending these destitute animals to cow sheds, they would abandon these animals at the MLA’s residence. With difficulty, the officials were able to convince the farmers not to do this.
