The university had also issued a notice regarding this, according to which all these rules have been implemented from February 3 itself. The university has implemented punishment for 17 offenses in the new rules. These new rules will be applicable for both regular and part-time students. Let us tell you that there was a fierce protest in JNU regarding the screening of the controversial documentary of BBC. Only after this the university has implemented these new rules to stop all this.

In a 10-page book titled Rules of Discipline and Proper Conduct of Students of JNU, the university has given different punishments including Protest, Cheating. Along with this, the process of registering any kind of investigation and statement in the university has also been told.

Regarding these new rules, it has been said that it has been approved by the Executive Council. This Council is the highest decision making body of the University. At the same time, Vikas Patel, secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in JNU, has called the new rules as Tughlaqi’s decree. Let us tell you that earlier in JNU, students had protested against the showing of BBC documentary made on Prime Minister Modi. Since then new rules have been implemented in the university.
