New Delhi: Shahdara District Police has arrested three people involved in the betting racket. These people were betting on IPL matches from a house. A laptop and five mobiles have been seized from them. The names of the accused have been mentioned as Shammi Kumar Sahni, Keshav Sharma and Dheeraj Dhingra.

DCP Shahdara Rohit Meena said that on April 10, information was received regarding online betting on T20 IPL cricket match RCB vs LSG, stating that a person named Shammi Kumar Sahni is operating this business from his home. . The police team raided and caught all three people. They were placing bets on matches with the help of their mobile phones and laptops.

On interrogation, Shammi disclosed that he is the owner of this cricket book. He hired Keshav Sharma, a betting software expert, and Dheeraj Dhingra, in which he used to place bets with several punters. Earlier, he used to run a restaurant Punjabi Tadka in Laxmi Nagar, but after it was sealed by the MCD, he got into this business to meet his daily expenses. He was doing betting business for about six months.

On the other hand, the Delhi Police has arrested two accused in the robbery of the supervisor of Rapid Metro in Seemapuri area. His throat was badly strangulated at the time of the incident. The names of the accused have been mentioned as Aman and Kapil. According to the police, on April 7, the victim Shekhar Thakur lodged a case of robbery at the Seemapuri police station. The victim, a resident of Old Seemapuri, told that he is a supervisor in Rapid Metro Anand Vihar. At around quarter to nine in the night, when he was going towards the Apsara border, three people caught him. Choked his throat completely and looted his mobile and 4200 rupees.
