Rahul Bhootda – Balod. In Chhattisgarh’s Balod district, retail traders doing business by setting up roadside vegetable shops staged a blockade. From Ghadi Chowk to Jai Stambh Chowk located on the main road of the city, these people used to sell vegetables and other goods by placing a spread on both sides of the road. The municipal administration had removed those who set up shop on the footpath with a warning not to set up shop on the roadside.
Retail vegetable traders did a trickle
These people were removed from the roadside, but no arrangements were made for retail traders to sell vegetables at other places. After this, the traders have created a ruckus demanding to set up a vegetable shop at another place. Due to this, people coming and going on the road are facing problems and long queues of vehicles have started on both sides. On the other hand, Tehsildars are giving advice to the traders after reaching the spot near the traders doing Chakkajam.
