Delhi Metro: Delhi Metro has made a big announcement on Friday. Now a passenger can carry a maximum of two sealed bottles of liquor in the metro. Like Delhi Metro’s Airport Express Line, now all routes will be allowed to carry alcohol bottles. However, a rule has been made for this that the liquor bottles should be sealed. If the seal of the bottles is open then it will not be allowed to be carried.
What did DMRC say by issuing a statement
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) issued an official statement saying that as per the provisions of the Airport Express Line, a passenger can carry two sealed bottles of liquor in the Delhi Metro. A committee comprising CISF and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation officials has probed the earlier order. As per the earlier order, there was a complete ban on carrying liquor in the Delhi Metro except on the Airport Express Line.

Drinking alcohol is prohibited in metro premises
DMRC has also said in its official statement that there is a strict ban on drinking alcohol inside the metro premises. Also, he has urged the passengers to follow the etiquette while traveling. If any passenger is found misbehaving under the influence of alcohol, appropriate action will be taken against him as per law.
Let us tell you that in case of drunken ruckus or quarrel in the Delhi Metro, CRPF personnel can throw the passenger out of the metro premises. For violating the rules, CRPF jawans or other metro employees can also impose a fine of Rs 200. If the misbehavior is found to be excessive then legal action can also be taken against the passenger.
