Delhi’s Kejriwal government on Tuesday issued a notification regarding conducting a special audit of electricity distribution companies by the CAG. Delhi’s Energy Minister Atishi gave this information on Tuesday. Atishi said that a special audit of power companies will be conducted by an external auditor included in the CAG panel, so that the residents of Delhi can get the benefit of electricity subsidy in a transparent manner. Atishi said that on March 27 itself, on the instructions of CM Arvind Kejriwal, an order was given to conduct a special audit of power companies and its file was sent to the LG for approval. LG sat with this file for about three weeks. Now he has given his approval.
LG wants to take credit of LG audit- Atishi
The Kejriwal government has issued a notification for conducting the audit on Tuesday. Despite taking so long to clear the file, LG Audit is now taking credit for it. The LG, who specializes in obstructing the work of the people of Delhi, has now become an expert in taking credit for the good works of the Kejriwal government. Atishi said that a special audit order has been issued by the Energy Minister’s office. On behalf of the Electricity Department of Delhi, the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission was ordered to conduct a special audit of discom companies.
Kejriwal government’s commitment to provide 24 hours more free electricity
The objective of the Delhi government behind this special audit is to ensure that electricity subsidy is passed on to the residents of Delhi in a transparent manner. Atishi said that it is the commitment of the Kejriwal government to provide 24 hours more free electricity to the people of Delhi. If anyone tries to stop this conspiracy, we will make him unsuccessful. To expose this conspiracy, CM Arvind Kejriwal has directed for special audit of all power companies by CAG empaneled auditors.
In the audit, all the accounts of the power companies will be examined and it will be seen that what happened and how was the money given by the Delhi government to the power companies in the last 8 years? Along with this, it will also be ascertained whether any officers have nexus with the power companies. This special audit will unearth these collusions and will audit the books of power companies for 8 years.
