Raipur. It has been raining continuously for few days in Chhattisgarh. Due to which public life became busy. People are not leaving their homes even for daily work. However, the weather has become pleasant due to drizzle of rain. People have got relief from the humid heat. People’s problems have increased due to rain. Rain has become a curse for the erosion victims living under the open sky. There is some happiness and some sadness among the farmers due to rain. People are very troubled due to rain in Balodabazar, Sakti and Kawardha districts. At some places there is waterlogging and at some places the bridge is broken, which is troubling the people a lot.
Contact with Mungeli and Bilaspur lost due to waterlogging, people worried
Balodabazar. Due to continuous rains in Balodabazar district, life has become disrupted. Bhatapara – About 6 feet of water is flowing over the bridge of Semaria Ghat. Due to waterlogging, connectivity with Mungeli and Bilaspur has been broken. The same police personnel are deployed and are stopping people from coming and going. Waterlogging in many drains has blocked traffic. The cleanliness of Kasdol Nagar Panchayat is exposed due to continuous rains. The roads of many wards are filled with more than 2 feet of water. Like every year, this year too not only school children but also villagers are risking their lives crossing the road. Neither any official nor public representative is paying attention to this.
Borai river is in spate, people are crossing the bridge risking their lives
Shakti. In Sakti district, Borai river is in spate due to rain and water is flowing 1 feet above the bridge. People are risking their lives on the bridge. Police and administration are not paying any attention to this. Dabhra-Hasaud road is a matter of Bhedikona village.
Guru Nala flooded due to heavy rains, many wards affected, houses filled with water
Kawardha. In Kawardha district too, the situation is such that due to rain, rivers and drains are in spate. The condition of roads and drains has become very bad. This is revealing the complete negligence of the municipality. There has been heavy flooding in Guru Nala. Due to which people’s houses have been flooded. The road has been completely closed due to water logging in many wards and houses. Due to which people are facing a lot of problems. It is being told that every year people have to face a lot of problems like this.
Villagers of many villages crossed the Bamhani river, risking their lives.
Gaurela pendra Marwahi. In Gaurela Pendra Marwahi district, due to intermittent rains for the last three days, the rivers and streams are in spate. In fact, it has been raining intermittently for the last few days in the district, due to which the main road connecting Korba through Gram Panchayat Kodgar of Pendra development block is in spate. It is on Bamhani river. Water is flowing over the roof. Villagers of many villages are risking their lives to travel through this route. About a thousand people of a dozen villages including Jilda, Shaila Semra on this main road are facing the problem of their daily living. They mostly have to go to Pendra for their daily work.
Villagers said that such situations occur every year during the rainy season, yet neither the local administration nor the public representatives are paying attention to it. Due to which people are risking their lives while commuting. Till now the situation remains the same.
