Nuh news:Following the arrest of Congress MP Maman Khan in connection with the Nuh violence, the Haryana government has imposed a temporary suspension of telecommunication services (state of public emergency or public safety) 2017, violating Section 5 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 in Nuh district . 2) Under this decision, orders were issued to suspend 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, CDMA and GPRS mobile internet services, as well as bulk SMS (except banking and mobile top-up), as well as all dongle services provided on mobile networks. To take appropriate action in this regard, all telecom service providers of Haryana have been directed to ensure compliance with these orders.

These orders have been issued by the Additional Home Department of Haryana to prevent disturbance of peace and law and order in Nuh district. This order applies in the district from 10 a.m. today, September 15, to midnight on September 16, 2023. If these orders are violated, legal action will be taken in accordance with the relevant provisions.

Additional Chief Secretary, Home Ministry TVSN Prasad said that due to misuse of internet services, there is a possibility of damage to public property and facilities and disruption of law and order in Nuh district due to spread of inflammatory material and false rumours. In addition, spreading misinformation and rumors through various social media platforms such as mobile phones, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, etc. by assembling and organizing a crowd can cause serious harm to someone else, arson or vandalism and other types of violence . Internet services have been restricted to prevent the possibility of damage to public and private property through illegal activities. For public convenience and basic household needs of the population, personal SMS, mobile phone top-up, banking SMS, voice calls, and business and residential broadband and Internet services provided through leased lines are exempt.
