Kawardha. Before the assembly elections in Kawardha district of Chhattisgarh, police have arrested four accused with Rs 1 crore cash. With the help of police informer, information was received that some people were transporting huge amount of cash. After which the police laid siege and arrested four accused.
According to the information received, the police got information from the informer that some people were carrying huge amount of cash. After which the police laid siege to the Chilfi post and arrested the accused. During interrogation, the accused told that they were carrying this cash from Faridabad to Odisha, while the seizure of such a huge amount of cash raises big questions whether it was to be used in the upcoming assembly elections. At present the police is interrogating the accused.
