In fact, the Supreme Court is ready to give its verdict on October 30 on the bail plea of ​​jailed AAP leader Manish Sisodia in the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam case. According to media reports, a two-judge bench of the apex court comprising Justice Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti will pronounce the verdict on Monday i.e. October 30. Let us tell you that former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had approached the Supreme Court for bail in the CBI and ED cases related to alleged irregularities in the liquor policy case. Earlier on October 17, the Supreme Court had reserved its decision on the bail of Manish Sisodia.

‘No need to keep Sisodia in jail’: Lawyer

On October 17, Sisodia’s lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi had said in the court that the investigating agency does not have any evidence directly related to Sisodia in this entire case. Singhvi had told the court that all the evidence is of documentary nature. There is no need to keep Sisodia in jail. Since Sisodia is associated with political and public life, there is no danger of him running away. Along with this, Singhvi had said that ED’s allegation is that the new liquor policy itself was made to deceive, whereas the new policy was made in a transparent manner after deliberations by the committees. The then Lieutenant Governor himself had approved this. A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti reserved its verdict on two separate bail pleas of Manish Sisodia after hearing the arguments of his lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, appearing for CBI and ED. Had taken.

CBI had arrested in February

Let us inform that Sisodia has been named as an accused in the case filed in connection with the now-expired liquor policy of 2021 of the Delhi government. He was arrested by the CBI on February 26 this year for alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of Delhi’s new excise policy. He was later arrested by the ED in a money laundering case after a few hours of questioning in Tihar Jail. However, Sisodia has denied any wrongdoing and allegations made against him. Now it remains to be seen whether Sisodia gets relief from the Supreme Court on Monday or not.
