Manish Sisodia Bail Plea: The bail plea of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor scam case was heard in the Supreme Court on Thursday. During this period, the court has asked many questions to the investigating agencies. SC has sought evidence on Manish Sisodia’s role in the liquor policy case. During the hearing in the court, not much evidence could be presented by the investigating agency. However, the next hearing on Manish Sisodia’s bail plea has now been fixed for October 12.
Supreme Court asked for evidence
The Supreme Court questioned the ED and asked that if Manish Sisodia had no role in the money trail, then why was he made an accused in the money laundering case. Also, the court said that your argument is based only on a guess, but if the cross-examination on this matter starts in the court, then the liquor policy case will end in two minutes. In response to this question, the ED said that the new liquor policy was made only to benefit some people.
Questioning the investigation, the Supreme Court asked the ED whether it has any data to show that the policy was copied and shared. If it was printed, show that data. The Supreme Court said that only on the basis of the statements of the witnesses it is being said that bribes were given in the liquor policy. The court said that according to your case, if no money came to Manish Sisodia, then how did the money come from the liquor group.
