Delhi Excise Policy: The bail plea of AAP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor scam case will be heard in the Supreme Court today. Earlier on October 5, the court had asked the Central Investigation Agency Enforcement Directorate as to where is the evidence against Manish Sisodia. Senior lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi will appear in the Supreme Court on behalf of Manish Sisodia.

Let us tell you that during the last hearing, the Supreme Court had asked many questions to the ED and said that Manish Sisodia has no role in the money trail, then why has he been made an accused in the money laundering case. The court further said that your argument seems to be only a guess. Also, SC said that if cross-examination on this matter starts in the court, then the liquor policy case will fall in two minutes. Responding to this, ED said that the new liquor policy was made only to benefit some people.
Raising many question marks on the investigation, the Supreme Court asked the investigating agency ED whether you have any data to show that the policy was copied and shared. If it was printed, show that data. The court further said that only on the basis of the statements of the witnesses it is being said that bribes were given in the liquor policy. The court said that according to your case, if no money came to Manish Sisodia, then how did the money come from the liquor group.
The Supreme Court also said that several rules have to be fulfilled to file charges under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Let us tell you that CBI had arrested Sisodia on 26 February. At the same time, ED had arrested him on March 9.
