Pollution level in Delhi-Mumbai

According to Safar-India, the air quality index in Delhi was recorded in the ‘poor’ category for the third consecutive day on Saturday. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR)-India, the overall air quality in the national capital was recorded in the ‘poor’ category with an AQI of 286. The air quality index was recorded in different ranges in different areas of Delhi.

The air quality in the IIT Delhi area remained in the poor category with an AQI of 276, while the air quality at the airport (T3) was also recorded in the poor category with an AQI of 293. On the other hand, 165 AQI was recorded on Mathura Road, which falls in the moderate category. Whereas, if we talk about NCR region, AQI was recorded at 255 (poor) in Noida and 200 (moderate) in Gurugram. Now talking about the financial capital Mumbai, the air quality at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus has been recorded in the very poor category.

Situation of pollution in recent days

Let us tell you that before this air pollution in delhi The level remained in the ‘moderate’ category with an AQI of 190 on Wednesday, 256 on Thursday and 249 on Friday. The city’s AQI has since been recorded in the ‘poor’ category. For information, let us tell you that AQI from 0 to 100 is considered good, while AQI from 100 to 200 is considered moderate, 200 to 300 is bad, 300 to 400 is very bad and AQI from 400 to 500 or above is considered severe.

Delhi Minister said that vehicles are a major cause of pollution in the capital, hence he has started ‘Red Light On, Gaadi Off’ campaign on Thursday.

This campaign started from the Income Tax Office (ITO) on Thursday. This campaign will be run at other places in the city. On November 2, this campaign will be organized in 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi. The campaign will be promoted through Eco Clubs in schools on 3 November.
