Nafees Biryani Death: Mohammad Nafees alias Nafees Biryani, financier of Uttar Pradesh mafia Atiq Ahmed, has died. Nafees Biryani, lodged in Prayagraj’s Naini Central Jail, suffered a heart attack. After this, he was admitted to the ICU of the Cardiology Department of the Medical College from Naini Central Jail. Nafees was an accused in the Umesh Pal murder case. The police had declared a reward of Rs 50 thousand on him.

Nafees Biryani was accused in the Umesh Pal murder case and was arrested during an encounter in Annapur area of Nawabganj police station area late in the evening of 22 November. A reward of Rs 50,000 was also announced on financier Nafees Biriyani. Nafees was shot in the leg during the police encounter. After which he was arrested. While in police custody, he was admitted to the hospital for treatment. After this, after treatment on December 9, he was shifted to Naini Central Jail in Prayagraj.
Mafia’s special man was made from paan shopkeeper
Nafees Biryani had opened a paan shop in Civil Line. After this he came in contact with Ashraf, brother of mafia Atiq Ahmed. After this he opened a biryani shop. Nafees Biryani became a brand in Prayagraj. He started giving franchises. During police interrogation, he confessed that his monthly earnings were around Rs 2 crore. Nafees used to send a quarter of this i.e. Rs 40 to 50 lakh to Mafia Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen every month. He had become very special to Atiq.
Used to take care of Atik’s family
After Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf went to jail, Nafees started taking care of the Biryani mafia family. Nafees Atiq looked after the management of the family. 39 year old Nafees is a resident of Gulabbari Colony, Khuldabad. At this time he lived in GBT Nagar Kareli. On February 24, big information came about the Creta car used in the murder of Umesh Pal and his two government gunners. That Creta car belonged to Nafees Biryani.
An FIR was lodged at Dhumanganj police station against Nafees Biryani for his involvement in the conspiracy in the Umesh Pal case. In the month of August, his location was found in a five star hotel in Delhi. He had gone there to meet his girlfriend, but was not caught by the police. Before the Umesh Pal case, Nafees had transferred the car to the name of his close friend Rukhsar. Police is also busy searching for Rukhsar.
