Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on a tour of Gorakhpur and Deoria today. He reached the Bholaram Maskara Inter College of Sahajanwan in Gorakhpur and laid the foundation stone of the mini stadium to be built at a cost of Rs 10 crore 43 lakh. After this, the CM performed Bhoomi Pujan of the PepsiCo plant which is going to be set up in the industrial area of Gida. Many types of people will get employment through this plant. Setting up of large plant of fast moving consumable goods will lead to better development of small supplier companies, packaging and transportation sector with employment to many small industries and people. FMCG i.e. Fast Moving Consumable Goods, this company will soon set up its plants in many places of Gorakhpur like Prayagraj, Amethi and Chitrakoot.
According to media reports, M/s Varun Beverages, a franchisee of PepsiCo, signed an MoU at the Global Investors Summit for an investment of about Rs 1,100 crore in Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority. Many people will get employment through this. It is estimated that about 1500 people will get direct and indirect employment through this plant. In this industrial corridor being constructed by Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority, 50 acres of land has been allotted for it. Regarding this plant being built in Gorakhpur, Kamlesh Jain, Executive Director of M/s Varun Beverages, said that only 36 such plants have been set up in the country so far. This plant coming up in Gorkhur is the seventh plant in UP. Apart from this, preparations are also being made to set up plants in Amethi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj.
In this plant being built in Gorakhpur, many types of products of PepsiCo’s multinational brand will be manufactured, including carbonated soft drinks, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, fruit pulp based drinks, milk based products, beverage based syrups and many other products. Many varieties of ice cream will be made here. One lakh liters of milk will be needed daily in the FMCG plant to be built in Gorakhpur. Due to the use of this milk, there will be development in the field of animal husbandry.
