Rewari: Due to the shutdown, drivers faced major problems as CNG was not available for 24 hours. The CNG supply normalized after midnight on Wednesday, due to which there was a huge rush of vehicles at the CNG pumps on Thursday morning. Motorists had to wait a long time for petrol at CNG pumps.

For maintenance of gas pipelines and addition of new connections, engineering officials have ordered a closure from Tuesday midnight to Wednesday midnight. Due to this, supply of CNG pumps from Rewari to Panchgaon in Gurugram has been stopped. On Wednesday evening, people traveling up and down in CNG vehicles faced major problems due to unavailability of petrol. Drivers of CNG-only vehicles faced many problems. Dozens of such vehicles were lined up on the national highway waiting for the CNG supply to function smoothly. Once supplies began after midnight, these vehicles could be filled with CNG and then set off to their destination. Without CNG, many drivers had to make do with gasoline and diesel.

In the morning there were fierce fights at the pumps

Due to non-availability of CNG at night, long queues of vehicles formed at CNG pumps in the morning. A huge crowd of vehicles could be seen at almost all petrol pumps. Working people had to queue for CNG, due to which many could not even reach their offices on time. In the afternoon, the crowds at the gas pumps returned to normal. The non-availability of CNG at night put an additional burden on drivers’ wallets.
