Gurugram: State Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Singh Chautala said that there should be no illegal sale of any kind of liquor in the state. Apart from this, all currently operating liquor shops should be open at appropriate locations as per the rules. The deputy chief minister gave instructions to the officials during the state meeting of the excise and taxation department at Resource Bhawan.

He said that the district excise officer should ensure that no advertisement of private liquor companies should be put up outside the liquor shops. In all states where distilleries operate, records of their production and sales should be with the excise authorities. Officials should ensure that government revenue increases. Maximize your visits to the DETC area. Check with each contractor about their liquor quota and available rates. Addressing the excise department meeting of tax officials, he said that Haryana has recorded a 15 per cent increase in SGST collection over the previous year. All tax officials should strive to ensure that Haryana is among the five worst-hit states in the country when it comes to recovering SGST. He called for companies’ tax payments to be analyzed from time to time. He said manufacturing units would be set up in the state as per NGT rules, thereby increasing SGST collection.
