Chandigarh: Haryana Interior Minister Anil Vij sternly told the police officers that the officers and IOs whose FIR investigation cases have been pending for more than a year should accept their statement. He said 3,229 cases were pending in the state for a year. Giving details of the districts, he said that 77 in Ambala, 45 in Bhiwani, 13 in Charkhi-Dadri, 140 in Faridabad, 54 in Fatehabad, one in GRP Ambala Cantt, 981 in Gurugram, 27 in Hansi, 106 in Hisar , 132 in Jhajjar., Jind 62, Kaithal 39, Karnal 100, Kurukshetra 94, Mahendergarh 38, Nuh 165, Palwal 292, Panchkula 114, Panipat 37, Rewari 98, Rohtak 151, Sirsa 177, Sonepat In 83 and in Yamuna Nagar 203 Cases pending one year. Apart from that, he also gave instructions to the police officers regarding permanent establishment of temporary police posts, monthly public police meeting, Haryana police rules, auction of old confiscated vehicles in police stations, illegal weapons, crimes against women, etc.
