Ambala: Fraud of 5 lakhs in the name of sending donkeys to Australia

Ambala: 5 lakh rupees were scammed from a young man to send to Australia. An agreement was reached with the agent to send him to Australia for Rs 15 lakh. At the last moment the defendant spoke of sending it by donkey for 21.50 rupees. When the young man’s father spoke of action after the fraud became known, he was threatened with death. The police have now started proceedings against the accused and started investigations.

The applicant stated that the defendant Harjinder Singh gave the numbers of Abhishek Jhamb and Gaurav Jhamb. The defendant asked to bring a passport and other study documents to the Kurukshetra office. When he went into the office, the defendant assured him that he would get his son a visa for Australia soon. The accused closed the deal for Rs 15 lakh by promising to be admitted to a college. The accused also showed several visa files. Rs 2.53 lakh was given to the accused in advance. The accused asked to deposit Rs 5 lakh until the offer letter arrived.

The complainant deposited Rs 1,000 into his son’s account on 27 September 2022 but accused partner Indrajit Singh withdrew Rs 97,000. On October 3, 2022, the defendant delivered the offer letter over the phone. He also deposited the remaining Rs 1.5 lakh. The defendants testified that they sent donkey felt to Australia via England. It charged Rs 21.50 lakh. When he refused, the defendant did not release his son’s passport and documents. The defendant also has his son’s checkbook. When he asked for action to be taken, the defendant threatened to frame his son in a false case and kill him. Naggal Police Station has registered a case of conspiracy fraud against the four accused.
