He was the first to implement the agrarian reform law.

Kushal Singh Dahiya from this village, whose face resembled that of the Guru, sacrificed his own head in exchange for the Guru’s head, which the Mughals took with them, believing it to be the Guru’s head. With the offering of Kushal Dahiya, the head of Guru Tegh Bahadur could be taken to Anandpur Sahib.
