Ambala: Lalkurti vegetable market contract auctioned for 10.11 crores

Ambala: Zonal liquor contracts for 2023-24 were auctioned off via e-tendering on behalf of the Excise and Tax Administration. This year, the department generated revenue of Rs. 143.97 crore from these contracts in the district. For this, the department kept a minimum price of 129.77 crore rupees. The electronic bidding process was conducted under the chairmanship of AETC Vidya Sagar and City SDM Darshan Kumar.

Referring to the electronic bidding at the city’s Panchayat Bhawan late Tuesday night, Deepa Chowdhary, DETC of the Excise and Tax Department, said there was a 20 percent increase in revenue from the auctioning of contracts compared to last year. For the year 2023–24, electronic bidding was conducted in 36 groups in 61 zones. The minimum price for the contract within the Lalkurti Sabzi Mandi Ambala Cantonment Zone was 9.80 crores of which 10.11 crores was allocated. The minimum price of the contract in Cantt’s Railway Road Capital Chowk zone was 6.26 crores, of which 7.22 crores was allocated. The minimum price of the contract in the Kalaamb zone was 8.58 crores, of which 8.80 crores was allocated. The minimum price of the contract in the Ugada zone was 1.27 crores, of which 1.58 crores was allocated. The minimum contract price in the Chhoti Ghel zone was 1.10 crores, of which 1.55 crores was allocated. The minimum price of the contract in the Nizampur zone was 1.10 crores of which 1.26 crores was allocated. The contracts of other zones were also auctioned off.
