A son mercilessly beat up his elderly parents over a land dispute. During the attack, the defendant broke the father’s arm, and the mother also suffered serious injuries to her head, face and fingers. The doctors sewed up the mother with more than ten stitches. The police are currently speaking after the complaint about the commencement of proceedings against the accused.
In the complaint to the police, 67-year-old Anita Devi and 70-year-old Subhash Gupta from Boh village said they were at home on Sunday. Subhash has opened a grocery store in the house. He said that suddenly his son Vishal attacked him. When Anita heard the noise, the accused son also attacked her as she came to the spot. Both were killed by the accused.
Anita, who is being treated at Canton Civil Hospital, said the accused son beat her so mercilessly that even the baton broke. When the villagers heard the noise, they informed the police. Anita told that she has a dilapidated house in the village of Boh and about one and a half hectares of land. This was also named after two sons. Elder son Vishal married 12 years ago and then lived separately in Anand Nagar of Cantonment. Often the daughter-in-law and son would even quarrel when discussing giving a share by selling the land. While the younger son lives in Pinjore with his wife and children. The police are still investigating the matter. Investigating officer Balkar Singh said the case would not be registered until after the statement was taken.
