Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on Sunday. On Monday, the CBI produced Manish Sisodia in a special court, from where Sisodia was sent to police custody for five days i.e. till March 4.

At the same time, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had approached the Supreme Court on Tuesday for bail in the Excise Policy case. After this, senior advocate AM Singhvi, appearing for Manish Sisodia in the Supreme Court, Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and Justice P.S. Narasimha’s bench was appealed for urgent hearing today itself. In this case, the CJI said that you should first take bail from the lower court. One should go to the High Court to get the FIR quashed.
