Kejriwal Residence Renovation: The tussle between the Delhi government and LG seems to be increasing once again. LG Vinay Kumar Saxena has taken cognizance of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence renovation case. Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has ordered officials to preserve the expenditure records of crores of rupees spent on the renovation of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence. He has asked the officials to submit a report on the matter within 15 days.

Keeping in view the sensitivity of the issue, the LG said that all relevant records in the matter be immediately secured and taken into protective custody. Also, the LG has sought a report regarding media reports on irregularities during the renovation of the 6-Flag Staff House, Chief Minister’s residence, Civil Lines. On the basis of all these reports and files, the Chief Secretary PWD Department will investigate the whole matter.

Explain that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has attacked Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleging that between 2020 and 2022, Rs 45 crore was spent on the renovation of Arvind Kejriwal’s residence at 6 Flagstaff Road. In response, the AAP accused the BJP of trying to divert attention from more pressing issues by raising the issue.

Delhi BJP President’s target on Kejriwal

All the BJP leaders targeted CM Kejriwal regarding his residence. BJP leader Manoj Tiwari said that the revenue of the Delhi government had come down to less than half, due to which many works were stopped. On the other hand, Kejriwal spent Rs 45 crore in his residence and office during 16 months during the time of Kovid, this is a big proof of his carelessness. He also said that the CM has electricity fittings worth Rs 2.58 crore, a kitchen worth Rs 1.10 crore and a TV set worth over Rs 10 lakh in his bungalow.
