Delhi: Kailash Gehlot got 8 and Rajkumar Anand got Manish Sisodia’s 10 departments, LG approved

New Delhi: After the resignation of Delhi’s Deputy Chief Ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, the government had sent a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor to give the responsibility of new departments to Ministers Kailash Gehlot and Rajkumar Anand. LG VK Saxena has approved Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s proposal.

CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday gave the responsibility of eight departments out of Manish Sisodia’s 18 departments to Kailash Gehlot. Along with this, it was decided to give the responsibility of the remaining 10 departments to Rajkumar Anand, whose proposal was sent to the Lieutenant Governor.

Let us inform that Manish Sisodia, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, had 18 out of 33 departments of Delhi Government. After Sisodia’s resignation, CM Kejriwal had decided to give these portfolios to two ministers in a proposal sent to the LG. In which it was decided to give Finance, Planning, Public Works Department, Power A, Home, UD, Irrigation and Flood Control, Water Department to Kailash Gehlot. Similarly, it was decided to give Education, Land and Building, Awareness, Services, Tourism, Art Culture and Language, Labour, Employment, Health and Industries departments to Rajkumar Anand. This proposal of CM Kejriwal has been approved by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on Sunday in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. Prior to Sisodia, last year former Health Minister Satyendar Jain was arrested on charges of corruption. After Sisodia, two ministers of the Delhi government have been arrested on corruption charges.
