A big news has come out from Shastri Park area of Delhi. Here six members of the family who were sleeping by burning mosquito coils have died due to suffocation, while the condition of two is said to be critical. It is being told that the mosquito was attached to a mattress and suddenly the mattress caught fire. People were unconscious due to the effect of Mosquito, so they could not even know about the fire. When the police reached the spot on the information of the neighbors, everyone was taken out of the room and taken to the hospital.
District Deputy Commissioner of Police Joy Tirkey said that at 9 am on Friday, the police received information that eight people were found unconscious in a house, all were admitted to the nearby Jag Pravesh Chand Hospital. Out of this, six were declared dead by the doctor. All these deceased lived near Fish Market in Shastri Park.

Even if there is no fire incident from mosquito coil, it proves to be dangerous. Actually, mosquito repellent coils contain DDT, other carbon phosphorous and dangerous substances. Sleeping in a closed room by lighting a mosquito coil does not allow the gas inside the room to come out. Keeping the coil burning creates carbon monoxide in the whole room. Along with this, the amount of oxygen decreases in the room where this coil is lit.
Due to this, carbon monoxide fills the person’s body, due to which he has to face extreme difficulty in breathing and at the same time the chances of suffocation increase a lot. According to media reports, one coil can prove to be as dangerous as 100 cigarettes. About PM 2.5 smoke comes out of this, which can prove to be very dangerous for the body and it also causes harm.
