Ever since the election of the Mayor in Delhi, there has been a lot of ruckus regarding the election of the Standing Committee. For the last two days, there was fierce fighting in the House regarding this. The corporators became so eager to fight with each other that a corporator was badly injured in the thrashing. BJP councilor raised demand for CBI inquiry

Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani appeared in the court on behalf of the BJP corporator. He said that voting has been done for the election of the Standing Committee, half of its counting has also been done. It can be clearly seen in the CCTV that half the counting of votes has been done. I would like to suggest that the CCTV of the court house and ballot papers should be called for. The councilor further said that after the counting of votes, AAP’s demand for re-voting is totally wrong. Apart from this, the BJP councilor has also demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.

The court has given a big blow to the Aam Aadmi Party while giving its verdict in the case. The court has refused to accept AAP’s demand for fresh standing committee elections. Along with this, the court has ordered the Delhi Mayor to keep the CCTV footage safe, following the councilor’s suggestion.
