DMRC employee hanged himself after killing his wife and daughter, also stabbed his son

On Tuesday, a DMRC employee committed suicide after killing his wife and daughter at Jyoti Colony in Delhi’s Shahdara district. Before the suicide, the son was also stabbed with a knife. He is fighting for life in the hospital. Initial investigation has revealed that the person took this dreadful step due to high debt. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for postmortem. Investigation teams are inspecting the spot.

DCP Rohit Meena said that the incident was reported to the PCR at around 12.04 pm. The caller was saying that Sushil Kumar’s son Ram Lakhan works with me in Metro. Didn’t come to office today. When I called him, he was crying and saying that I killed everyone in the house and now he is not taking calls.

Police verified the information and D Block 78/1, 2nd Floor, Gali No. 8, Jyoti Colony Shahdara police reached the spot. Sushil Kumar’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan, while the bodies of his wife Anuradha and six-year-old daughter were found with deep knife wounds. Kumar’s 13-year-old son was also stabbed and is currently undergoing treatment. Police said that Kumar was working as a supervisor at the metro depot located in East Vinod Nagar. The team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has also inspected the spot.

The loan was pledged

According to the police, preliminary investigation and documents recovered from the house revealed that Sushil had taken a loan by pledging jewellery. His financial condition was going weak. His phone has also been sent to the forensic lab for examination.

Neighbors took the injured son to the hospital

When the neighbors came to know about the incident, they reached Sushil’s house. Sushil’s son Yuvi was breathing. Whom the neighbors took to GTB Hospital through PCR. It is alleged that the treatment of the child started late in the hospital.
