The pollution level has again registered a rise in Delhi on Tuesday. Talking about Delhi’s air quality index, it was recorded at 219 at 4 pm on Tuesday, which falls in the poor category. At the same time, according to the data of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting Research System SAFAR, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi stood at 150 in the moderate category at around 9 am.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe. If we talk about the weather, Tuesday morning was warm and the minimum temperature was recorded at 17.5 degree Celsius. India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information. According to IMD, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degree Celsius. The relative humidity was recorded at 8.30 am at 81 per cent.

Whereas in 2021, India was at number five. IQ Air, a Swiss agency that monitors air pollution, released the World Air Quality Report on Tuesday. In this report, data has been taken from more than 30,000 ground base monitors of 131 countries. According to this World Air Quality report, 19 of the world’s 20 most polluted cities are in Asia, of which 14 are in India. Along with this, a city belongs to an African country.
