The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Tuesday arrested the health department’s accounting officer red-handed when he accepted a 20,000 rupee bribe. The defendant had asked for a bribe of 20,000 to hand over the contractor’s bill. A case was brought against him and an investigation was launched. Although the accounting officer says he was violently bribed, he did not ask for the bribe. The investigation was initiated by registering a case against him under the Corruption Act. At the same time, there was excitement among the office staff because of the security raid.

According to the case, Sundar Singh resident Vishal Nagar stated in the complaint to the Anti-Corruption Bureau that he was a contractor. He works in department number two of the Ministry of Health. In 2022 he had the water supply leak and pipe well installation done in Sampla division. Their invoices are pending at the health department. To get past who, DO Vijay Singh has taken two thousand rupees and is now asking for 20,000. He said he will only take the money after signing the MB and the bills.

The anti-corruption office initiated measures after receiving the complaint. The team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Ramnivas. Meanwhile, when the Anti-Corruption Bureau team received the signal, they kidnapped DO Vijay Singh from the office. 20,000 rupees were recovered from his pocket.
