Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is in Tihar Jail in the liquor scam case. Sisodia has been taken into custody by the ED. Hearing on Sisodia’s bail plea is going to be held in Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday. In such a situation, people’s eyes will be on whether Sisodia gets bail or not. Manish Sisodia was produced before the court on Monday, where the court extended his custody for 14 days. Due to this, now Sisodia will have to remain in ED custody till 3 April.
Other accused related to the case have got bail
Manish Sisodia’s lawyer argued in the court that the investigating agency ED has not mentioned any crime. The lawyer said that Sisodia was being interrogated by the CBI, then what was the need for the ED to interrogate him. Sisodia has been taken into custody by the ED for questioning. But he is being questioned only for half an hour daily. He was interrogated till late night only on one day. The other accused in this case have already got bail.
Sisodia will remain on ED remand till April 3
Let us inform that Manish Sisodia was arrested by the ED in Tihar Jail on March 9 in connection with the Delhi liquor scam. Presently both Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are lodged in Tihar Jail. After his arrest, Sisodia was produced in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on 10 March. After ED’s demand, the court sent Sisodia on remand for 7 days. After this, Sisodia was presented in the court on March 17, the court again extended Sisodia’s remand for 5 days. After this, he was presented in the court on Monday, where the court extended his remand for 14 days. In such a situation, Manish Sisodia will now have to remain on ED’s remand till 3 April.
