Earlier this week, the Central Bureau of Investigation probing Delhi’s liquor policy had on Sunday summoned Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for questioning, but Sisodia sought some more time to join the questioning. Citing the preparation of Delhi’s budget, he said that the budget of Delhi has to be finalized at this time. That’s why one week’s time should be given. Accepting this request, the CBI said that a new date for questioning would be fixed soon. CBI and ED have arrested several people for alleged corruption of Delhi Liquor Policy.

Many people were arrested

The Enforcement Directorate last week also arrested Raghav Magunta, son of YSR Congress Party MP Sreenivasulu Reddy, in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy money laundering case. The MP’s son was accused that the Magunta family was running a liquor business in Delhi and has been in the liquor business for the past several years. In this series, CBI also arrested Buchibabu Gorantla, former CA of Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC K. Kavita. On this matter, the ED said that the liquor policy of Delhi was prepared by the top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party.
