Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s difficulties are increasing. Delhi’s special court on Wednesday sent Manish Sisodia to judicial custody for 14 days in the Excise Policy case. Sisodia was produced before Special Judge MK Nagpal of Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court after the Enforcement Directorate’s custody in the money laundering probe ended today.

During this, the ED told the court that their interrogation was over for the time being. If further inquiry is required, then petition can be filed again, so that some important aspects related to Delhi’s excise policy can be investigated.

Sisodia sought permission to take some books

Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia urged the court to allow him to carry some religious and spiritual books during his judicial custody. Sisodia is already in judicial custody in the case registered by the CBI. Manish Sisodia told the special court that the CBI has not found anything against him in its probe into alleged irregularities related to the excise policy. Along with this said that now there is no need to interrogate him either by taking him into custody.

Answer sought from ED on bail plea in money laundering case

In the money laundering case related to Delhi’s excise policy, the special court has issued a notice to the ED on the bail plea of ​​former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia asking it to file a reply. Special Judge MK Nagpal asked the ED to reply by March 25. Sisodia is currently in ED custody in the money laundering case. The special court had extended Manish Sisodia’s custody from March 17 to March 22. The ED had arrested Sisodia from Tihar Jail on March 9.
