On Saturday, Women and Child Development Minister Atishi reprimanded the officials of the department for finding deficiencies in Child Care Institute of Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. Child Care) has been ordered to inspect the institutions. Also said that a detailed report of your inspection should be submitted by May 15. Minister Atishi said in the order that the children coming to the child care institution have gone through a dark past and they need special care. In such a situation, providing these children an opportunity to live a dignified life and continue their education is the priority of the Kejriwal government and no laxity will be tolerated in this matter. He ordered the officers to take the matter seriously and work with sensitivity to ensure that the children’s homes are well maintained and best care and facilities are provided to the children. He said that special care should be taken of cleanliness in every child care home, immediate action will be taken against the officer on receipt of complaint.

Decision taken to upgrade child care institutions
In a recent meeting, the Delhi government has decided to upgrade all child care institutions in Delhi. On last Wednesday, Minister Atishi held a review meeting regarding this. In which he said that the Kejriwal government is working to upgrade its child care institutions while working in this direction to ensure that children living in child care get special care. Under which work will be done to provide skill and art based education to the children so that they become self-reliant and remain stress-free, as well as the employees of these institutions will also be given training by experts.
Delhi government is running 25 child care institutions
At present there are 25 Child Care Institutions being run by the Government of Delhi, in which 16 Children Homes for children of 6 to 18 years, SAA for children of 0 to 6 years, 3 Observation Homes, 1 Special Home, 2 Place of Safety and Includes 2 after care homes.
