The 38th meeting of the Disaster Management Authority was organized in the country’s capital Delhi on Saturday. CM Arvind Kejriwal, Minister Kailash Gehlot, top officials of MCD besides several ministers were present in this meeting chaired by LG Vinay Saxena of Delhi. Also, top representatives from NIDM, NDMA, National Institute of Seismology and all DMs also attended the meeting. The meeting mainly discussed the threat of earthquake in Delhi, H1N1 influenza virus, H3N2 virus and corona pandemic.

According to media reports, it was told in the meeting that the risk of H3N2 influenza virus is increasing in many parts of the country. The number of patients of this virus is also increasing in Delhi. In such a situation, there is a need to be very careful. Expressing concern over this, LG Vinay Saxena said that people need to be made aware about this. We have to be ready to face the challenge of this virus. We need a better strategies.

Governor instructed to be careful

The Governor asked the people to follow the Covid protocol to avoid this virus. He instructed people to wear face masks, wash hands frequently, follow physical distance. Said that in this regard, mock drill should also be done in the hospital, so that we can be prepared in advance to deal with the coming danger.

Preparations should also be done for the danger of earthquake

On the other hand, after the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, there is a danger of earthquake in Delhi too. Every day we get to hear the news of earthquake somewhere. The Lieutenant Governor also discussed about this in the meeting. He said that we need to be prepared well in advance to face natural calamities. For this, all the buildings in the capital Delhi should be made earthquake proof. Along with this, the buildings of all schools, hospitals, police stations and other important government offices in Old Delhi areas should be repaired. CM Arvind Kejriwal also called for serious action on the issues raised in the meeting.

All schools closed for 10 days in Telangana

Be informed that apart from Delhi, patients of H3N2 influenza are coming to the fore in many states. Recently, the Telangana government had ordered the closure of all schools in the state for 10 days due to this threat. Apart from this, caution is being taken regarding this in other parts of the country. The death toll from this virus has increased to 10.
