Gang war again between two gangs in Delhi’s Tihar Jail.
Delhi’s Tihar Jail has once again come into limelight. After the murder of Tillu Tajpuria, a new case of gang war has come to light in Tihar. On Monday, there was a gang war between two groups in Jail No. 1 of Tihar Central Jail. According to the information, the prisoners injured in this clash have been taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital (DDU) in Delhi. Further action is being taken by the Delhi Police in this matter. Please inform that in Central Jail No. 1 of Delhi’s Tihar Jail, there was a fight between two prisoners of two groups. One of these prisoners, Alok, attacked Rahul with a knife and rag. After this, the companions of both also crowded among themselves. People from both the groups have sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to DDU Hospital in Delhi for treatment.
Similar incidents happened before
In Delhi’s Tihar Jail, on May 26, a prisoner committed suicide by hanging himself in the bathroom of Ward No. 6 of Tihar Jail No. 4. At the same time, on Monday, May 22, after being convicted by the court, a prisoner committed suicide in suspicious condition. According to the Tihar Jail administration, the prisoner was found hanging in the jail bathroom hours after he was convicted by the court in a robbery case.
Tillu Tajpuria was killed on the morning of May 2 by four members of the Jitendra Gogi gang, Deepak alias Teetar, Yogesh alias Tunda, Rajesh and Riyaz Khan. These people attacked Tajpuria about 92 times. During this, the prison personnel did not try to save him and stood as mute spectators.
Even before the murder of Tillu Tajpuria, incidents of two major murders have come to the fore in Tihar Jail. Earlier on 14 April 2023, Prince Tewatia was killed in a gang war inside Tihar Jail. Even after this, very serious questions were raised on the Tihar Jail administration. The police had failed to protect him even in judicial custody.
