Woman found with 22 snakes and a chameleon at Chennai airport.
Chennai Airport: A woman has been caught by the Custom Department at Chennai Airport in Tamil Nadu. Custom has caught a female passenger who arrived on flight number AK13 from Kuala Lumpur on Saturday. On examination of the woman’s check-in baggage, 22 snakes of different species and one chameleon were found. Thereafter, the Customs took action and seized under the Customs Act, 1962 r/w and the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
On the other hand, a woman who had gone to watch a movie in a theater at Chennai Airport last night ended her life by jumping. Police has given information about this. Police said that the woman has been identified as Aishwarya and she is 33 years old. The woman was watching a movie with her two children when she came out of the theater and ended her life by jumping.
Police said the woman lived in Polichalur, an area adjacent to the Chennai airport. According to the woman’s family, she was suffering from a mental illness and was undergoing treatment. Police said the woman’s husband is currently in the US. With this, the police have not yet recovered any suicide note in the case.
