Who is Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel?
There is a place called Viramgam in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Bhadresh Kumar Patel is a resident of this Viramgam. Bhadresh, born in 1990, spent 24 years of his early life in this city. One day he decided to go to America. In 2015, he married a girl named Palak Patel. Bhadresh and Palak reached America soon after the marriage. To earn a living, both of them started working at Dunkin’ Donuts coffee shop in Hanover, Maryland state. Life was on track and happiness and joy were going well.
The date of 12th April 2015 was inauspicious
The date of 12th April 2015 proved to be inauspicious for Palak. There were many customers in the shop. There was a crowd. When the police arrived, Palak’s body was lying near the kitchen. Bhadreshkumar was missing. When the police investigated the CCTV footage, Bhadresh’s reality came to light. Bhadresh was seen coming out of the shop alone, but Palak was not with him. Therefore the police became suspicious of Bhadresh.
When the police interrogated Bhadresh’s relatives, they came to know that Palak wanted to return to India from America. But Bhadresh was obsessed with settling in America and taking citizenship there. Both of them used to argue only on this matter. The relationship between husband and wife had deteriorated.

According to WTOP Radio, there was a heated argument between Bhadresh and Palak in the kitchen of the shop. There were also customers in the shop at that time. Bhadresh slashed the face of his 21-year-old wife Palak with a knife and stabbed her multiple times in the back room of the shop where they both worked. After killing Palak, Bhadresh went missing from America. The couple’s visas had expired about a month before the murder.
The Federal Investigation Agency placed him on the wanted list in 2017. A reward of $100,000 was announced for further information.
Where did Bhadresh go after the murder?
Investigation revealed that Bhadresh Patel came straight to his apartment after committing the murder and left in a cab with some documents. It is believed that Patel fled the US with the help of human smugglers and hid in Canada or Ecuador. His relatives lived here. He was last known to have taken a taxi from a hotel in New Jersey to a train station in Newark in the state.
At the time, Anne Arundel County Police Chief Tim Altomare said it was a heartbreaking murder. Patel is believed to have been in the US in 2017, when he was put on the FBI list. Someone was deliberately helping Patel to get out of the country.
An arrest warrant was issued against Bhadresh Kumar by the District Court of Maryland on April 13, 2015. Patel was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and discharging a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
