Mysterious disease in China.
China Pneumonia Outbreak: Pneumonia cases are increasing in China. Respiratory diseases are increasing especially in children. Countries of the world are also expressing concern over this. In view of the increasing cases in China, India is looking into this matter. Recently the Health Ministry said in a statement that there is no serious disease in India. In view of the situation in the neighboring country, the Union Health Secretary has written a letter and given important instructions to the states and union territories as a precautionary measure.
Center gave instructions to the states
The Center has ordered measures to increase hospital beds, medicines, influenza vaccines, medical oxygen, antibiotics, medical equipment, testing kits and medical facilities in states and union territories. The Union Ministry said in the letter on the functioning of oxygen plants, ventilators and infection control methods in health facilities.
It advised states and union territories to implement surveillance strategies and guidelines keeping in mind the experiences of COVID-19. Special attention should be paid to respiratory diseases and diseases like influenza. IDSP has directed states to closely monitor respiratory diseases, especially among children and adolescents, through district and state surveillance units.

This has caused concern among global health experts. The epicenter of the disease is the cities of Beijing and Liaoning, where pediatric hospitals are facing an overwhelming number of sick children. In view of the seriousness of the situation, classes have been canceled in some schools. This situation is reminiscent of the early days of Covid-19.
