Apple News: Tech giant Apple has announced that it will be shutting down its free iCloud feature ‘My Photo Stream’ on July 26. So users who are still using this feature need to migrate from iCloud before the deadline given by Apple. Apple reported “My Photo Stream is going to shut down on July 26, 2023.”

‘My Photo Stream’ was launched in 2011 as a free method of syncing photos between various Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac with iCloud. Users should save their saved media in ‘My Photo Stream’ to their camera roll or library before Apple discontinues this feature. Because this feature is now available only for a few days. After this period these photos cannot be accessed in iCloud.

However, it didn’t sync your photos in full resolution. For these reasons My Photo Stream was eventually replaced by the much better iCloud Photo Library.

Apple said that with this change, the ability to upload new photos from your device to My Photo Stream will stop a month earlier, starting June 26, 2023. Photos saved in iCloud enable the sharing of full resolution photos between Apple devices. You do not need to take your photos to any other location. It is available in its paid version. ‘My Photo Stream’ was still a useful feature for those who don’t want to use iCloud Photos.

The company said that photos users upload to the service before that date will remain in iCloud for 30 days after upload. Users can access them on any of their devices that have ‘My Photo Stream’ enabled.

In addition, Apple said that photos in My Photo Stream that are already on one of the devices will not be deleted. Users who want to keep their photos on a certain device must save their photos to the photo library on that device before July 26. Meanwhile OpenAI has launched its iOS app in other countries. It was earlier launched only for the US market.

Users in 11 countries can now get the ChatGPT app from the Apple App Store, including the US, Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Jamaica, Korea, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria and the UK. The company said that it is going to expand to more countries and regions in the next few weeks.
