Kedarnath Yatra 2023: If you are planning to visit Kedarnath Dham, then you will have to wait for a few days. Registration for Kedarnath Dham Yatra has been stopped till May 8 amid bad weather and possibility of snowfall. Earlier on Wednesday, May 3, the Kedarnath Yatra was stopped amid heavy snowfall and orange alert. However, the yatra was resumed on 4 May with improvement in weather conditions after two weeks of rain and heavy snowfall.

The Uttarakhand government today said that the registration for Kedarnath Dham has been suspended till May 8 in view of the possibility of inclement weather in Kedarghati for the next three to four days. According to official sources, till May 4, 1.23 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath Dham.

Earlier on May 4, the road to Kedarnath Dham was closed due to breaking of a piece of Bhairav ​​Glacier. The authorities had asked the pilgrims to take necessary precautions. An official said that at 2:25 pm, the Yatra route has been completely closed for movement due to another break in the Bhairav ​​Glacier. Please tell that the doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened on 25 April. However, the yatra is being hampered due to snowfall and inclement weather. Despite all the difficulties, the enthusiasm of the devotees is not showing any decrease. This time it is mandatory to register for Kedarnath Yatra.

Registration will start again soon

With the improvement in the weather conditions, the registration was resumed and the yatra started. The Char Dham Yatra began on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya on 22 April. The holy shrines of Gangotri and Yamunotri were opened for pilgrims on 22 April and Badrinath Dham was open on 27 April.
