Earthquake in Uttarakhand: Earthquake tremors were felt in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand early on Thursday. National Center of Seismology(NCS)According to , an earthquake of 3.2 magnitude has occurred in Uttarakhand.

According to the information,NCS has given information by posting a post on its X account. NCF said that this earthquake hit at 3.49 am at a depth of 5 kilometers from the city.This is the second earthquake in the state in 48 hours. An earthquake of 4.3 magnitude occurred in Pithoragarh on Tuesday.

Earthquake occurred in Nepal also

Earlier on the same day, four consecutive earthquakes had occurred in Nepal. The epicenter of the most powerful earthquake was located 206 km southeast of Joshimath, a pilgrimage city in Uttarakhand, and 284 km north of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.The tremors of this earthquake were felt in many parts of North India including Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

According to NCS, the series of earthquakes in Nepal started with an earthquake of 4.6 magnitude at a depth of 10 kilometers in western Nepal around 2:25 pm. After this, another shock of 6.2 magnitude occurred at 2:51 pm.Subsequently, two more aftershocks of magnitude 3.6 and 3.1 were felt in the same area at 3:06 am and 3:19 pm at depths of 15 km and 10 km.
