Uttarakhand Road Accident 2023: Road accidents do not seem to be reducing in the hill state of Uttarakhand. A bus accident took place in Haridwar, Uttarakhand on Wednesday morning. In this, an uncontrolled bus fell into the ditch. Two people died and 12 were badly injured in this accident. The people around informed the police about the incident and the injured were admitted to the hospital. After this the police reached the spot and started rescue work. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Uttarakhand Police, Fire Police and SDRF reached the spot and immediately the injured were taken to the hospital through the rescue operation.
A few days before this, on Monday, May 29, 5 people lost their lives due to road accidents in different cities of the state. The loader crashed in Vikasnagar of capital Dehradun. Two died on the spot and one woman was seriously injured in the accident. At the same time, two people died in a car accident in Sitarganj, while two passengers were seriously injured. On the same night on Sunday, a car rammed into an uncontrolled accident around a dry river and two died on the spot. A report related to road accidents in Uttarakhand has made shocking revelations. According to a report regarding road accidents, the number of road accidents in the state of Uttarakhand has increased by 27 percent in 2022 as compared to the year 2021. According to the data released by the Transport Department, in the year 2022, three people die in road accidents every day, while four people get injured. There has been an increase of 19.15 percent in the number of road accidents. If you look at the figures, there were 1405 road accidents in the state in the year 2021, in which 820 people lost their lives. At the same time, in the year 2022, this number of people who died reached 1042. Uttarakhand government says that many initiatives are being taken by them to prevent road accidents. Despite this, there is no decrease in the number of road accidents.
