Gyanvapi Masjid Survey: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey at Gyanvapi Masjid went on from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. A lawyer each from the Hindu and Muslim side was present with the ASI team. The lawyer for the Hindu side says that the remains of idols have been found during the survey. Tell whether the 17th century mosque has been built over the structure of a Hindu temple or not. Survey is being done to find out the same. On the other hand, regarding the survey, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that we are afraid that incidents like December 23 or December 6 may happen. We do not want more cases like Babri Masjid to open up.

Significantly, the survey of Gyanvapi Masjid is going on since Thursday. At the same time, after the end of the day for the survey on Saturday, Hindu side’s lawyer Anupam Dwivedi said that remains of idols have been found in 3D imaging of Gyanvapi, mapping from satellite (framing-scanning). He said that a GPR machine would also be installed for the survey within a day or two.

At the same time, a survey was also conducted during the hearing on this matter in the Supreme Court on Friday. A 61-member team of ASI is surveying in Gyanvapi. Here the survey of the entire Gyanvapi campus is to be done except for the Vajukhana.

The survey went on till 5 pm

The ASI team reached the Gyanvapi Masjid Complex at around 8.30 am. This survey first ran from 9 am to 12.30 pm and then from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. At the same time, ASI will survey the land using radar technology. However, it will take time to conduct the survey with the help of GPR technology. The survey with GPR may start from Tuesday.

What did the ASI team do on Friday

Earlier on Friday, the ASI did videography and photography of all the internal and external parts of the Gyanvapi complex. The first day’s survey lasted for about 7 hours, during which most of the ASI’s time was spent on preparing the layout of the structures. The ASI team consisted of 37 people and the team of experts from IIT included 61 people. All of them were divided into four teams.
