Allahabad High Court: Ban on cow slaughter, Muslim judge said – Whoever kills a cow rots in hell

Allahabad High Court: While hearing the case of cow slaughter, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has made a scathing comment. The Lucknow bench said that a person who kills a cow rots in hell. Along with this, the Lucknow Bench also asked the Central Government to ban cow slaughter and enact a nationwide law regarding it.

Hearing the petition of a person accused of killing an animal in the Allahabad High Court, Justice Shamin Ahmed said that it is important to respect all religions as India is a secular country. He said that all religions should be respected along with Hinduism. Justice Shamin Ahmed, citing Hindu religious texts, said that the cow should be protected and respected, as the cow represents divine and natural goodness.

A person from Barabanki had filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court to quash the FIR lodged against him. An FIR was registered against the person for killing the cow and selling the meat. A petition was filed in the High Court for its cancellation. The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court refused to quash the FIR while hearing the matter. Along with this, the bench also called upon the central government to bring a law to ban cow slaughter and declare cow as a protected national animal.

During the hearing on this matter in the High Court, Justice Shamin Ahmed said that the person who kills the cow deserves to rot in hell. Along with this, he said that we should respect all religions along with Hinduism. The High Court also took note of the importance of the cow for purposes of purification and penance during this period.
