Mayor’s House Raided: Sushil, husband of Mayor of Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation Munesh Gurjar, has been caught in the trap of ACB. The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team raided Jaipur. The team arrested the mayor’s husband Sushil Gurjar and two touts. Sushil is accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 2 lakh in lieu of making a patta of land. Rs 40 lakh in cash has been recovered in the search of the mayor’s house. A machine has been called to count these notes. Along with this, 8 lakh cash has also been recovered from the house of a broker.

Giving information, Additional Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau, Hemant Priyadarshi said that a complaint was given to the investigation team of ACB that the issue of land patta through Dalal Narayan Singh and Anil Dubey on behalf of Sushil Gurjar. In return, a demand of Rs 2 lakh was made.
The officials laid a trap on the basis of the complaint and on Friday night, a team led by ASP Lalit Sharma arrested Dalal Narayan Singh, a resident of Jaipur, while taking Rs 2 lakh in cash. Over Rs 8 lakh in cash has been recovered from Narayan Singh’s house. Along with this, Mayor’s husband Sushil Gurjar has also been arrested on the basis of his involvement in the case.

Various teams of ACB are conducting searches at several places including the residence and other premises of the accused. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is underway. Let us inform that Mayor Munesh Gurjar and some other Congress (Congress) councilors protested against the then commissioner of the corporation in June, accusing him of corruption. They also staged a sit-in at the corporation headquarters demanding action against the officer. After this, the officer lodged an FIR against Munesh Gurjar and other councillors.
