There was a demand for creating new districts for a long time.

This is considered to be the biggest announcement of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot in the election year. The government has announced creation of 19 new districts in Rajasthan. Earlier there were only 33 districts in the state, but after this decision of the government, the number of districts has increased to 50. Let us tell you that there was a demand for creating new districts in the state for a long time. Apart from this, the government has also decided to create three new divisions in Rajasthan. With this, now the number of divisions in the state has increased to 10.

See below the list of all the new districts

Phalodi, Jodhpur East, Jodhpur West, Jaipur North, Jaipur South, Balotra, Sanchore, Anupgarh, Gangapur City, Khairthal, Neemkathana, Deeg, Kotputli, Dudu, Kekri, Beawar, Shahpura, Didwana-Kuchaman and Salumbar. Apart from this, there will be 3 new divisions namely Sikar, Banswara and Pali. The Gehlot government has converted almost all the areas which were being demanded into districts.

Understand the math of districts in Rajasthan

Let us inform that a total of 19 new districts have been created in Rajasthan. Earlier the total number of districts in the state was 33, with the formation of 19 new districts, their total number should have been 52, but the number of districts was only 50. Let us understand this complicated math. It is to be noted in the list of these districts that earlier there were two districts named Jaipur and Jodhpur, but now both the districts have been removed from the list. Now there is no district named Jaipur and Jodhpur, instead Jodhpur is divided into Jodhpur East and Jodhpur West. At the same time, Jaipur has also been divided into two parts, Jaipur North and Jaipur South. In this way, earlier the total number of districts was 33, then with the removal of Jaipur and Jodhpur, its number became 31. Now the old 31 districts and 19 new districts together become a total of 50 districts.
