According to the information received, the incident happened around 6:30 am on Monday morning near Saragarhi Sarai opposite Heritage Street on the way to the Golden Temple. There was also a bomb blast near Saragarhi parking at around 12 o’clock on Saturday.
Giving information, Amritsar ADCP Mehtab Singh said that there was no news of any loss or injury in the blast this morning. We are investigating. The situation is normal here. Anti-sabotage, bomb disposal squad and FSL teams are present at the spot. One person has minor leg injuries. The sound of the blast was heard by the local people around and they also saw smoke in the area after the blast. Initial investigation has found some metal pieces from the spot. Media reports say that there is a possibility of IED blast.
